What a weekend! Thanks to all these amazing individuals, we came together for another inspiring and entertaining weekend of magic at 31 Faces North.
We were thrilled to welcome old friends and new to talk and share all things magic. There was a wide range of excellent talks, presentations and performances, but in particular, we had one very memorable session, honouring living magic legend and inaugural Allan Slaight Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Johnny Thompson, also known as The Great Tomsoni. Spontaneous stories and moving words about Johnny Thompson’s generosity and influence were shared by many of the attendees including David Ben, John Carney, Mike Caveney, Bob Sheets, Darcy Oake, and Teller.
In addition to the conference, we also conducted the Allan Slaight Awards at a private reception on Saturday June 25 where we were treated to performances by Luc Langevin, Jorge Blass, Handsome Jack (John Lovick) and Derek Hughes. An outstanding show for an outstanding evening.
We congratulate all the Allan Slaight Award recipients for an amazing year of monumental achievements and thank all our 31 attendees for another terrific year of sharing wonder.
