It is always thrilling to see magicians triumph with the power of magic. And this year’s Allan Slaight International Rising Star Award recipient is no exception. This award come with a $5,000 prize and an engraved iPad to mark this happy occasion, and it is all courtesy of the Slaight Family Foundation.
Past recipients of this award: Henry Vargas of Brazil, Jorge Blass of Spain, Edward Hilsum of Great Britain, Noah Levine of the United States, Ding Yang of China, Diego Vargas of Costa Rica, Billy Kidd of Great Britain, Mikayla Oz of the United States, and Nikola Arkane of Northern Ireland. These international stars represent a beautiful cross section of dynamic magicians who continue to share wonder across the globe.
Today, we celebrate a citizen of the world, ARTEM SHCHUKIN—this year’s Allan Slaight International Rising Star Award recipient. Originally from Russia and now living in France, Artem’s passion and love for magic is pure and joyous. His devotion to magic is deep and, as you will learn from his story, it’s infectious. We are delighted to celebrate and acknowledge Artem Shchukin as this year’s International Rising Star.
