And, among the many special books we will have, we are further delighted to announce that Magicana will also have copies of Ionia—Magician Princess, Secrets Unlocked at our dealer’s table! Thanks to author and publisher, Charles Greene III, these books will be available at a special, FISM-only price. In fact, you can stop by the booth on Thursday July 28th (exact time to be announced) and have the author sign your copy!

What’s Ionia all about?

This mysterious figure—a Goddess of Mystery, as some of her beautiful posters declare—came from a magical family. Both her parents, Charles de Vere and Julia Ferrett (known as Okita), were successful magicians who performed throughout the late 1880s, and passed on their stage talent and business acumen on to their children.

But it is their youngest of eight children, their daughter Clementine, who rises up from a novelty show act and explodes onto the stage with a successful touring illusion show from 1910 to 1913 as Ionia, The Enchantress, The Goddess of Mystery.

Clementine’s life, however, is not limited to nor defined by those three magical years as Ionia. Charles Greene III has spent years researching and collating her fascinating story, and has released his work in this beautifully produced book, tracing this mysterious magician’s roots from 1843 right up to 1978.

There is a limited supply of books at this very special discounted pricing. Be sure to come by early to secure your copy, and plan to pass by July 28 at our booth to get it signed by author Charles Greene III.

See you in next week in Quebec! … à bientôt!
