Today is a wonder day, the day we celebrate and recognize an outstanding performance by an exceptional artist. The Allan Slaight Sharing Wonder award comes with a prize of $15,000 and an engraved iPad to mark the occasion, courtesy of the Slaight Family Foundation.
Penn & Teller, Darcy Oake, Derek DelGaudio, Michael Carbonaro, Steve Cohen, Derren Brown, Helder Guimarães, Dani DaOrtiz…as we reflect on this list of creatives and Sharing Wonder recipients, we see how each, in their own way, has changed the boundaries of what is exceptional. These performers have pushed past tradition, and instead they have offered the world a new kind of magic—a kind that sparks and inspires.

Discover more about this dynamic impossibilist, who has created a new and intimate close-up show called “Asi Wind’s Inner Circle.” This is no ordinary magic act. Instead, Asi invites his audiences to sit up close around his table, and he makes it all quite personal. Each night the audience generates a unique deck of cards made up of every person’s name. From that moment on, the magic changes. We soon learn, it’s not about cards, it’s about people. And this is the magic moment when we see Asi Wind in his element, truly sharing wonder.
