Given the special nature of this Magic Collectors Weekend in Montreal and, in particular, the special sessions scheduled at the McCord Museum to see Illusions: The Art of Magic, and the behind-the-scene tour of various rooms in the Museum, we have capped registration at 125 delegates. So, if you haven’t registered already, we suggest you do so sooner rather than later; avoid disappointment!
We can also announce that for those who have waited to the last minute to book a hotel room, you may soon be out of luck,—at least at our conference rate. (The saving grace may be the American dollar, which is approximately 30% more valuable that the Canadian dollar.) We blocked the same number of hotel rooms from past MCWs produced in Chicago and we can confirm that we have already fulfilled that block. In other words, rooms are being snapped up like hot cakes!
As previously warned, there is a huge demand for hotel rooms in Montreal – especially those in the prime, downtown core where we are hosting the convention. Montreal is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Expo 67, the 150th anniversary of the founding of Canada, and the 375th anniversary of Montreal. Cultural institutions are pulling out all the stops to stage inventive programming, and the demand for hotel rooms is exceptionally high.
So time is flying by – register and then book your accommodations soon! It's a terrific deal - convention rates are available from May 21 to June 1. If convention-rate rooms are no longer available, contact the Delta for options and alternatives.
